Well this pregnancy has been WAY too easy compared to my others so we knew it was a matter of time before I ended up in the hospital. Yesterday during church I started to have really bad back pains and couldn't sit still. Finally we left to come home during the 3rd hour and I went straight to bed. Unfortunately that did nothing other than making me start having horrible contractions. After about an hour I called my doctor and was told to head into the hospital. They got me all hooked up and sure enough I was having contractions every 30sec-1 minute. They said I was dehydrated which is what probably started my contractions. I got to drink lots of water and then they gave me a shot to relax my muscles. The first shot helped a little but didn't stop the contractions. So they gave me another one which slowed them down to about 3 minutes apart and I was much more comfortable. Weston and I were both STARVING by 7:00pm and so I begged the nurse to let me go home. My doctor said as long as I wasn't in pain and nothing changed with my cervix I was allowed to go. So of course I wasn't in pain and thank goodness nothing changed. I was sent home and told not to vaccuum, do laundry, lift kids, yada yada yada and I just smiled and laughed insided. I can just imagine what my house would look like after 1 day of not doing those things. It was definetely a good trial run and now to just keep this boy in for a few more weeks we will be set! I am feeling much better today and trying to keep myself hydrated in this 100 degree weather.
